Upgrade Statement D1 to D2 or buy VP50 Pro??

I have a JVC RS-2 paired with a Statement D1 at the moment. I am trying to decide whether to put my best money towards the D2 upgrade or just buy a DVDO VP50 Pro.

They are both in the same league pricewise and both will allow me HDMI 1.3 switching and high end video processing if I have it right, yes?

Which would be the better investment to pair with my RS-2 and why?

Thanks,
Russ

Russ, go for the VP50pro or the JVC version (RS-VP2) that was tailor made for your RS2 allowing you to dial in your colors to perfect specs

I think you will be pleased with what the scaler will bring to the table for your RS2

Yeah going with the RS-VP2 would definitely be the way to go....

I thought the D2 was limited to HDMI 1.1. Did it get a running change?

You are right, I just found that out myself.

I'm getting the RS-VP2 and that's that I guess. Not a whole lot of options at different price points unfortunately.

I hope this processor takes my projector to another level. It's not like I can give it a try and see if I like it.

I would opt for the RS-VP2 in a heartbeat...............if DVDO would allow me to trade in my VP-50!!!!!!!!!!! My RS1 and I would be very pleased!
