Storm Warning
The Host

all region locked

I'm hoping it won't be because they have a lot of horror coming out this summer that I'd want, but think I'm going to be disappointed

I would not assume any relation between the German and UK releases. It is hard to say what the UK will end up with.

That is kinda sad.

Do you have any info on Welcome To The Jungle [2007]?

Is there a link for the Host and Storm Warning region status?

It will be interesting to see what they do moving forward.

Hope that they reconsider hard coding to region B...

Anyone seen any reviews for Japan blu-ray Peter Pan "its the 2003 life action version? I want to know how good the PQ/AQ is before I import it.Also want to make sure it's region free,it is Region A,but it's Sony so I'm not 100% sure that means it's region free.

http://ec2.images-amazon.com/images/...bL._SS500_.jpg

Also how good is amazon.com japan for delivery to the US?

matrixadw - I'm in the same boat as you - I want to import this title but am worried about the region coding.

Just found this French review. Anyone know how we can get this converted to English? If you scroll down you can see they give the image 8/10 and the sound 9/10. Anyone know how we can get this converted to English?
http://www.dvdrama.com/rw_fiche-9801-.php

No region code appears in Spanish edition backcover: http://www.zonadvd.com/modules.php?n...icle&sid=14908

However if it is region free I am interested in this German extended version:
http://www.amazon.de/Peter-Pan-Exten.../dp/B0015WNYWI

Also found this on ebay:
http://cgi.*********/PETER-PAN-2003-...dZp1638Q2em122

Its says Region B 'playable in Europe', but doesnt actually say it won't play in region A players. So there's a few versions about (Japanese, French, Spanish, German). The German one seems to be the only extended edition version

I found out that Japan and US are both Region A,so all Japanese Blu-rays work on US PS3's,so I'm just going to import the Japan version.

This from IMDb:

"The UK version lacks the head-butt delivered by Hook to Peter Pan in order to secure a "PG" rating. This cut version was used as the basis for the DVD release in all PAL-countries, meaning that only NTSC DVDs feature the uncut version.

German theatrical version was edited (ie. Hook killing various pirates, sight of skeletons, much of Hooks more menacing dialogue, the final fight, the crocodile swallowing Hook) to secure a more commercial "Not under 6" rating. The DVD (rated "Not under 12") includes all these scenes but misses the head-butt due to the use of the cut UK PAL-master (see above)."

So it appears it's not really an extended edition. Runtime is listed at 113 min. on Amazon.de, which is the film's actual runtime.

Its been delayed to the 28th so doubt ppl will know to then. I've got my copy preordered (however I live in England so wont be able to region test it) however unless you really loved this film (like I did) you may want to wait for reviews as the studios releases havent be up to par apparently:

http://www.avforums.com/forums/showp...89&postcount=6

It is only one post so who knows and it hasnt put me off but thought i should bring it to ppl's attention.

Note: if it is filmax releasing this [rec] then Perfume was region free. Anyone know how the quality was for this release?

Whoa. Where's the info on REC in HD?

I heard this is one of the scariest modern films. I've been itching to see it. An HD version would be welcomed.

Nice one! I was wondering if they were ever gonna port their HD DVDs since the war's end. These will be their first BDs right?

Maybe they'll even fix the movies with pitch issues... a guy can dream...
Theirs a few french movies off that list I would like hopefully they will add english subs or even french subs. SC hasn't been adding subs to their HD-DVDs...
