Just a quick post to let everyone know that with the dongle Jason provided me I was successfully able to update my main firmware and the rest of the firmware to bring all of them completely up to date. Transaction was great, quick, and Jason promptly returned the PayPal deposit upon receipt back of the dongle.

Cheers.

Hello, I have a DHC 9.9 that has been in a box for three years while I finished my theater. I was wondering where I might find an active link for the DSP and Firmware updates. Or could someone possibly email it to me? This is my email. rhale64@yahoo.com. Your help would be surely appreciated.

You shouldn't post your email address in a public forum. Ask for anyone with the files you need to PM you instead.

Trying to update my 876 with 1.05 but I can't get it to work :S

Constantly getting the Search F/W...

Using a USB to R232 cable from Ebay.

Tried all ports and speeds and made sure that the settings match in both updater and device manager.

Tried different ports and on laptop as well as my PC.

I guess the receiver does pick up somekind of signal as the display changes from "MainUpdateMode" to "Search F/W..."

The updater does show the firmware strings when i open the program but as soon as I press the button it just sits there. Ticking the log produces nothing.

Can someone send me the 1.05 files. Might be worth a shot if my software is out of order.

I did install the OnkyoControl software and I have no problems controlling the receiver via the cable so it can't be the cable itself.

By doing a factory reset on my 9.9, I was able to bring it back to life. Unfortunately, in the meantime, I had purchased an 80.3. When i received the 80.3, I was disappointed that in order to get digital radio on the 80.3, one has to buy an external dongle. This really disappointed me. In addition, the added number of channels and 4K video are useless. I wound up selling the 80.3 and kept the 9.9. Buyer beware....Just because the models are newer, it does not mean that the manufacturer will keep all the functionality of earlier versions. For me 5.1 channels is plenty. Although I would have had plenty of use for the additional HDMI inputs on the 80.3. I think Integra engineers just ran out of room inside and panel space outside. So sad.

Hi Art,

Many of us feel that the real advancement from 9.9/886 to the 80.2/5508 models is Audyssey MultEQ XT 32.

Hi Jeff,

That was the main reason i ordered an 80.3 instead of getting the 9.9 fixed. Frankly, the system sounds great for the way i use it. I'm sure that there would be an audible difference that I could hear but these differences do not necessarily bring audible improvements. The last really great improvement I enjoyed was adding Audyssey. Before that, using carbon fiber drivers in my speakers made a huge difference. But frankly, when the 9.9 started working again, i was so thrilled that i would not have to tear down and rebuild my system that I sold the 80.3. I know I would have enjoyed it but lately, I prefer listening to playing with the equipment.

Hi,

A few quick questions to check my reading comprehension. I have recently bought a used DTC-9.8 and it has firmware version 1.04(previous owner never updated anything). I have read the first page several times and please let me know if I am correct. I do not have Pro installed.

If I update to 1.08, I can save my Audssey settings by storing them before hand. Correct?

If I update the DSP firmware, I had better be prepared to lose all my settings and do everything over again. Correct?

I was going to have my local dealer do this, but I don't believe he even knows about the DSP update so how important is it that it gets done? Thanks.

Yes, and then there's that.

Yes, pretty much. IIRC, upping to 1.08 allows Audyssey settings to be stored, but the act of getting to 1.08 wipes them.

The DSP update - are you referring to the DTS Bomb bug?

Thanks pepar,

So I won't be able to save my settings before updating to 1.08. Got it, thanks.

Yes, from what I read the DSP update is to prevent the DTS bomb, so I would like to have that done also.

It looks like either way I am going to have run Audyssey and set up everything again.

Hi just stumbled in on this. I have a DHC 9.9 that has never been updated. I bought it in 2008. What am I missing?

Hey Integra owners. I have a dtr 50.2 and just got an update. I checked the website to see what changes were applied but there is no info. Can someone point me in the right direction with this please?
Ok thank you Pepar. No posting of email addreses in a public forum. So if anyone has the updates for the 9.9 can they please PM me. I just got this thing hooked up. I would hate to have to pull it from my rack and send it off. After not having it for three years that would be devastating.

That's for your benefit if you didn't know, not a forum rule. Spammers have bots that crawl all over the web looking for email addresses.

Hey guys, just curious.

Do you connect your HDTV/Projector via the Integra/Onkyo receivers and processors? Do you notice the picture being dimmer by doing so, comparing to connecting directly to the source (e.g. blu-ray player).

Thanks

Connected my TV via the 9.8 pre/pro and saw no difference. I did set the video to pass through it with no upconversion, so maybe that's why. Just a guess.

Does anyone by some miracle have the dsp files for a 3008?
I never updated my 9.9 and have never had any issues. I tried to update a 9.8 and cooked the radio. My advice...be happy with what you have. Unless you plan to buy and use the Audyssey Pro setup system, and you have no issues, the 9.9 works well out of the box.

Could someone please give me the onkyo 905 firmware 1.05.??? All the links I have found are DEAD or 1.09 nothing in between. My receiver took the 1.09 but gives me eprom error. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
