And a huge thanks to CycloneGT for all his work in this topic over the last few years, along with nataraj who created the latest spreadsheet.

Here is Version 1.1 final. Any mistakes in this will be corrected in the 1.2 beta.








Version 1.1 Change log:
Added D* channels
Updated Comcast, Mediacom, Cox, TWC


Edit 1: Just read in another thread that Fox News HD launches before 4/30, with TWC and D* having agreements to carry. I will update the document with that change in version 1.2

Cablevision hasn't annouced the addition of MavTV-HD. Cablevision only announces something just before or, or right after, it's added.

I have Brighthouse Networks in Orlando, FL and we do not get the following channels: MHD, Starz HD, Cinemax HD and Golf/VS HD (should be changed to limited IMO).

What's up with FX (Newscorp) and USA/Sci-Fi (NBC Universal) ??? These are "must have" HD channels that nobody (save D*) seems to have. What gives ???

Can I make a recommendation? We're not distinguishing "Limited Announced" anymore (and neither are the MSOs), and there aren't any Timeshares (and I seriously doubt any would be added anywhere in the future at this point). How about we dump both of those and give Limited Available it's own unique color rather than that gradient. Then it'd be a lot easier to read.

Or don't dump any of them--it doesn't matter to me--but I'd really be happy if you dropped the gradients for individual colors.

individual colors would be much easier to read. i was just thinking the same thing when i first found this thread the other day. thanks for posting this info original poster! i've been looking for this kind of info for a long time!

Hey, thanks for the suggestions and updates. I'll be working hard tonight to figure out what to do with the colors. The original creator built them into a formula or something, so I have to set it up correctly. I'll try my best to get different colors.

I say get rid of the "Limited" color as almost every HD channel added from whichever cable company will have limited availability for the foreseeable future.

Plus If I had (example) CableCast in Vice City and I looked at this list and noticed that CableCast offered ESPN3-HD but I didn't have it. I would come to the conclusion that the channel has "limited availability" on CableCast and that my area has the rights to it but has not yet added it.

just double-checked and insight has "animal planet HD" and "Discover HD" as well available everywhere. the channels that i mentioned earlier (NFL HD, TBS HD, and the learning channel HD) are available everywhere as well.

According to their site, these channels have limited availability (i don't have them here in louisville, though):

A&E HD
Big Ten Network HD
History Channel HD
Science Channel HD
Cinemax HD
Starz HD

Atlantic Broadband is a top 20 MSO with pockets of service in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and Florida (I think they also have a presence in one of the Carolinas).

The HD lineup is not extensive:

TNT HD
NFL Network HD
ESPN HD
Regional Sports (varies by market) HD
Outdoor Channel 2 HD (which does not appear to carry any HD programming anymore )
(Discovery) HD Theater
Starz HD
HBO HD
Cinemax HD

and in Florida only:
HDNet
HDNet Movies

Who is watching Lifetime HD anyway? 4:3 on an HD channel is still low def. And High def theater shows "How it's made" in a stretch format. Horay for more HD channels, but where's the content? Sub standard HD channels/networks get no love on my system!

U-verse also has the Discovery HD suite of channels (discovery/science/animal planet/tlc/etc). It also has CNN HD.
