Audio Room Treatments  

I've read that many audiophiles believe the room is at least as important in producing good audio as the equipment. I would hear from those of you that have completed room treatment projects and if you feel the cost justified the results. I would also like to know if sophisticated equipment or expertise is required, and whether you did it yourself or used a professional installer.
