Title says it all. They play this trailer at the Manns' Graumann Chinese theater in Hollywood...soooo nice!

Thanks.

I searched google for this trailer, and wow, I wish I could hear it with better sound! All I can find is junky youtube videos

I'm not sure if there are any THX or Dolby trailers on any HDM. Could be wrong though.

Amazing Life does kick so much ass though. Too bad THX has been rendrered irrelevant now without the Lucasfilm above the logo.

I certainly don't agree with you on all THX "fronts." We had two new 20 screen complexes open a number of years ago, all THX-certified. The presentation quality was terrific for those years. Cinemark gave up the certification a couple of years back, and prestation quality has been going downhill steeply, with every trip to the movies being a crap shoot. Say what you want, but that arm of quality control that comes with maintaining the certification is highly beneficial.

"Terminator 2" was THX certified on Blu-ray and has the T2 THX trailer. "Independence Day" has a THX logo on the back of the box, but I haven't watched it to see the trailer.

It would be extra SWEEET if they would issue a BD with all the trailers in 7.1 Master Audio!!!!

Zeonstar is right on. I watched the THX trailer last night and it sounds great. A nice way to start your movie.

It might've shook your house, but the THX trailer is not DTS MA.

At least not according to the reviewers who've commented on it.

My on-screen PS3 display shows it to be a DD track (on the KOTCS disc).

You know I guess I need to look at my receiver and see what it says. I assumed that it occured after I choose True HD as the codec that it was in True HD. If it's not, then it still sounds awesome.

Thought I would give this a bump.

We screened Indiana Jones last night after finalizing my Denon's 3808 Audyssey setup. Playing the trailer, I can sum it up my thoughts on the sound with the following phrase:

Holy Crap!

When the mushroom in the trailer does its thing, the plaster in the room comes under threat. I run a HSU 1225 behind my couch, so I am quite accustom to having the room shake during scenes with lots of low bass content, but this trailer may well be the new champ for visceral impact.

In fact, I thought the low end was a bit too ripe, and was prepared to knock the sub down a few dB, but my wife said no way! That is a first for me, and is proof that I married the right woman ;-)

Not sure what other titles have this trailer, but its almost worth buying Indy just to have it.

I believe that trailer is standard Dolby Digital. That just goes to show how important the source material and its mastering are for achieving great sound!

I believe the Amazing Life trailer is also on the Clone Wars Blu-Ray.

I'll have to check that out. We're having a NYE party tonight w/ several couples that are "Nu To Blu". I won't be able to sit everyone down to watch a movie, so I'll be showing as many "snippets" as I can get away with.

THX Amazing Life would lead off nicely (even in lossy DD).

The THX trailer on Indiana Jones sounds better than anything in the movie. Despite being DD.

I just can't get that excited over a 20 second trailer, no matter how good the sound might be.

But to actually pay $$$ for a Blu-ray with just trailers on it? That's INSANE!

To each his own, I guess...

If you have a PS3 or compatible computer enjoy, consider this my New Years contribution! I have most of them on my PS3 and they never get old and yes the THX amazing life trailer is there in 5.1 DD in 1080p with lots of others.
(Not sure if they will playback on other BR players, check and see)

How do you save them onto your PS3?

I hover over the link, then hit triangle and select file>save target and I get the message "Insert storage media at the save destination"

I tried downloading Panasonic's Milky Way but it's a complete waste since the downloads will take forever!

Yeah, maybe a lot of people are celebrating new years with some HD trailers. I was only getting about 1 kbps on the download.

This is what we need more of around here. Not the incessant whining or boycott threats about lack of TrueHD from WB. The quality of the mix is everything.

And Warner Bros Mix quality is subpar to everyone else. So the whining is justified.

The Amazing Life muscial clip is fabulous, but several years ago that same music was payed on a PBS special. Does ANYONE KNOW who produced that material, (Band, group, electronic lab). I tried contacting the local PBS station and they didn't have a record of the piece. It had to be within the past 10 to 12 years. Kenn
