Scrot's and any other future buyers,
Sorry but I just bought my TV last night after looking around and found the A530 advertised at Sears.com for $1,439.99 (effective until 5/22
It's a long story but I got crappy customer service from Sears when I went to pick it up (inventory count was wrong and had none in stock to sell me).
With 15 min left before closing time I made a mad dash across town to Circuit City (made at the stroke of the hour).
CC price matched the 46" A530 @ 1,439.99 AND I got it at 0% APR until Jan 2011!!!
I'm a big fan of FREE LOANS even when I have cash on hand to make the purchase (just make sure you pay off the balance before the end of the promotional period or you will get SLAMMED).
Most places have the PRICE MATCH guarentee so do your research and walk in with proof and you should be good to go.
btw I was also able to add a PS3 (for Blue Ray movies) onto the ticket at the 0% APR (CC will let you add anything at purchase and still get the free interest until 2011-makes for an even better incentive in my book).
FYI the 0% APR untill 2011 is on SAMSUNG TV's only!
Thanks to the rest of you for the calibration advice. I'll be trying out two or three today.
Is there any good reason not to try the 1500 post calibrations?
ps- I tried posting the links for you but I don't have 3 posts on the boards yet.
