I'm looking at actually going to a local "wally world" and picking up a cookie cooling rack. That's right a cooling rack for cookies.... You can get them anywhere from 1/4" to 3" tall and they seem to be pretty strong. At least strong enough to hold up my 360. You can also get them in different sizes and if lucky,,,,different colors (if that's your thing....). Pick one up for a few bucks and let the cooling begin.....

As for your heavier stuff you might not want to put on those, how bout going to your local home improvement store and pick up some closet hanging rods made of wood. They come in different sizes, like 1-1/2" and 1-7/8" at my local store. You can pick them up for a few bucks, cut them the exact heights you want them, and paint them or stain them to match cabinet, equipment, of any finish you want. To top it off, you can buy some kind of material (rubber, felt, leather, whatever.....) cut out circles and hot glue it to the tops and bottoms. and VOILA!!!! custome risers for like $5 IF that much!!

I made something similar out of ABS plastic pipe. I just got a scrap 2" diameter piece and sliced it into various heights. I then edge mounted a large rubber washer to keep any vibrations from being coupled through the equipment and match the heights between them in case I was off a little. The pipe is hollow so I did not worry about impeding any airflow and just added vent holes around the perimeter if it was sitting on something that needed venting out the top.

That's true, but they are 10x better looking.

You know you can order any number of sizes heights and styles of rubber feet with built in washers etc from mouser. That is what the pros use on our equipment.

I reorganized my A/V cabinet and discovered my Cable box IR was blocked by the door trim. I went super Ghetto and used four K-Cups to lift it. Actully looks nice to the untrained eye. Wife saw it and got upset thinking that I spent more money on risers.
