Do you leave the lens cover on? POLL

I know this was asked before, but it never did get a poll, so here it is.

Do you put the lens cap back on your PJ after viewing?

I used to on my old CRT, but it of course had multiple lens and much larger lens compared to todays digitals. The optics also had some special coating that could scratch easily and I wanted to minimize my lens cleaning for this.

I do with mine, but only because it sits on a shelf in a cabinet with a door on it and I have to close the door anyway. When my previous projector hung from the ceiling, I didn't do it.

I think my lens cap is in a drawer somewhere...I have never put it back on my PJ after I unboxed the PJ and removed the cap. I do blow the dust off my PJ and anamorphic lens every month with compressed air in a can, then inspect the lenses. If there is any crud on them, I clean them up (almost never needed).

I only leave mine on when watching a movie.

No. I've cleaned the primary and anamorphic three times eight months.

Naa... I find that if I take a dollop of vaseline and coat the lens with it that it does a good job of protecting the lens.

Never do. I don't feel it necessary.

I've got a Sim2 HT series...no lens cover available. I've wiped it wth a lens cloth a few times, not that I noticed any issues with dust.
