I am using surround speakers that are rated at 25W, and the specs say the recommended amp requirements are 5-50/wpc. The center channel speaker I'm using is rated at 100W, and the amp recommendation is 10-100. My question is, which side should I be closer to? I'm trying to decide between a Harman Kardon AVR 147 (40 x 5), and a Yamaha HTR6050 (100 x 5). I'm afraid if I get the HK it may clip, and if I get the Yamaha it may overload the speakers.
