Important question about 4280HD break-in settings.

For D-Nice's break in settings he recommends:

Main Menu:
AV Selection: Standard

BUT, this is not full screen, there are black bars on the top and bottom of my screen.. isn't this bad for break-in purposes?.. As in, the worst thing possible?

I have mine set to "standard zoom" because it fills the entire screen. I left every other setting as he suggests.. is what I did right or wrong?

Honestly...and I'm not trying to be a wiseass...but you should really just use your tv and not worry about special "break-in" dvd's and procedures. You already have the right idea...just keep everything fullscreen for a while and you'll be fine.

Well, that would be fine, except the only thing I plan to use the T.V. for, for the next couple of motnhs is video games and Blu-Ray movies...

And I don't have a PS3 yet, so that leaves Xbox 360.. and don't think I should be gaming on it in the first 50-100 hours, should I?..

I took D-nie's ref settings an took down contrast to 20 and Brightness to -10... for now..

I am also running the break-in dvd on a separate input (with D-Nice settings) from time to time.

Note - i have played Top Spin for 4-5 hours at a time and no burn-in.....

All the info you need is in the first page of the settings thread. On my 1150HD I mixed 100 hours of the break-in dvd with whatever else I wanted to watch. In other words I played video games, watched movies, watched tv, and ran the break-in dvd throughout this time aswell while at work. After running the break-in dvd for 100 hours I had about 160 total hours on the set. Never noticed any IR during this time, even during gaming sessions that would surely cause it on other plasmas I've gamed on at various friends' houses. I use the reference settings for all my normal viewing so that helps minimize IR as they are very tame.
