Drillbit Taylor from Paramount on July 1st.

Funny thing is amazon already has it up for pre-order, yet nothing on the titles that are due in stores in three weeks!

Going forward I will only be adding movies to the "Will be released in 2008 with no specific date", "Will be released in 2009 with no specific date" and "TBA (Movies announced or rumored to be announced that have been pushed back to an unknown date.)" sections that have been mentioned by a reputable website and/or source as coming out with a general date (Fall 2008, sometime in 2009, etc). Otherwise, I may as well just list all upcoming movie theater releases, which would take up too much of my time. If it is a rumored date, I will list it appropriately, with a rumor tag.

source? I've seen nothing. Would like to know if these are more than just speculation.

Gladiator is only mentioned on the international Universal 2008 slate, in America it's distributed by Paramount/DreamWorks.

That's what i thought. Shouldn't that be listed in Blu Ray Imports and not as a coming soon for the U.S.? A little bit of jumping the gun if there is no reliable source.

Maybe you can add Jahummers list at the end in a "definite maybe" section or something. It'd be interesting to see how they pan out.

Hmmm...the prices are off on just about every one of those titles, although some of the information (i.e., "Nightmare Before Christmas", "Speed Racer", and TDK) matches previous leaks. On the other hand, we have errors like "21" and "Doomsday", which are listed under TBD but have already been announced with release dates. Personally, I'd take this list with a grain of salt.

The list came to me from a very reliable source and the prices are correct for retail store sticker prices. I hope to have the actual dates by next week.

Added at the end of the list:

Definite Maybe Section

Until verified you can take the list below with a grain of salt. Once we get confirmation on these dates they will be added to the master list above. As Pooperscooper said, it will be interesting to compare how many of the 14 movies listed for November and December pan out.

The DVD set you describe is worth having IMO. It's the best they've released so far for this title ... but on my system (IN76/Primsasonic FE1500), it just barely holds up when presented on my 88" wide 2.76 screen.

They better get this one right. And that also goes for "Lawrence Of Arabia". Although I heard a rumor that SPHE isn't actually going to release LOA on BD. Instead, they're going to cut it up into a bunch of little peices and then use those various pieces in promos to push the sale of more BD players to early adopters (just a joke, but I sure am getting tired of seeing scenes from this classic in BD promos ... where's the actual release guys).

Is there something wrong with amazon.com or is there a ton of releases coming out on May 20 and May 27? There must be a 1/2 dozen pages of releases listed in amazon. A guess or mistake or their part? I wanted to get Kingdom of Heaven, but shipping one disc to Canada isn't worth it, so I may take the risk and wait if there are that many titles coming out next week.

Having seen Ben-Hur in its original presentation in 70mm (in a theatre actually built to present the film!), I can assure you that the current DVD is very far from the quality of the original presentation.

I don't expect the Blu-ray to be there either BTW.

We can hope that Warners will restore it next year in its original anamorphic Camera 65 (=Ultra Panavision 70) and 6 track magnetic sound, and that they can find a theater to run it in. The Cinerama Dome in LA is probably our best bet.

I'm guessing those are the re-listings of previously discontinued Paramount titles.
