Thank you for the explanation! I guess I never even noticed what the numbers were conveying, beyond just a dramatic timer countdown. I just knew they changed by 1 hr per episode. Seriously, I would have guessed that the numbers would eventually reach 24:00, as a logical extension of the show name.

How could you get this far and think you've seen only 6 episodes this season!?

maybe they'll kill jack off and then they can make next season be a prequel (so we get to bring back a few other dead characters too)

Well, OK, not a cliffhanger, but I don't see Jack wrapping everything up AND having a bone marrow transplant or something all in two hours. But hey, this is 24, so I guess a magic shot could cure him in a minute or two.

At this point I'm in the disappointed camp, as far as the wimpy denouement that seems to be coming up for this season. It seems they're going to go out with a bunch of cliched plot retreads rather than really resolving the various story lines that got us to this point in the story.

Truth is not only stranger than fiction, it can be scarier as well...

More realistic? Maybe they are going to take over the Automakers. JB Motors...

They don't have to have a bone marrow transplant or whatever in two hours, all they have to do is end the season prepping him for surgery or something. Really you can fix that subplot with like 2 lines this season and 2 lines next season.

I also think they should let the super baddies go, one of the cool things they had going in the earlier seasons was the Bluetooth mafia, then they screwed the pooch on that storyline after such buildup. So just let the end of the season be save Kim and stop Tony and the minions.

I think whomever mentioned about waiting 6 mos for the antidote may be onto something, since Jack is infected they try it on him, it works and now Jack is suddenly saved by the very same people is out to get, bit of a quandry there.

Kim is gonna use her "Bauer Powers"....and McJiggalot is gonna...well...look sad, cry then hug someone.

Ugh - sounds like a whole season of "Redemption."

Way to blow the dramatic cred that most people (except for the "I'm never watching this show again… until next week" crowd here) have said the show's regained this year.

I am surprised to see that no one has brought up the final exchange between Chloe and Janice where Janice expected Chloe to applaud her doing something Chloe couldn't. This scene alone made me laugh out loud

I wish Jack would kill Kim.

I forgot I recorded this so that shows how much the show tension has dissipated for me since Tony went evil. I just don't feel the story urgency now.

So now the finale seems to hinge on the fact the Kim Bauer is in trouble yet again. The one character who is responsible for the worst story elements in the show's history and that's what they want to build the final two hours around?

Every time she appears in the show she's always doing something dumb, getting kidnapped or getting in trouble (Eek! A mountain lion!) that Jack has to fix. If it's a case of not helping Tony escape - again this season - or someone shooting Kim Bauer, Jack should go for the latter. Based on her track record at some point in the future Kim will probably accidentally push a button that says "Nuclear Detonator: DO NOT PUSH UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES." while being chased by a villain with a top hat and twirly mustache. So Jack will be saving millions of lives.

At this point in the season I don't think anything too obvious is off the cards. I recognized agents from EvilCo on the metro and as soon as Kim bumped into the couple at the airport. The only thing I didn't see coming this episode was how easily they wrapped up the gas bomb plot.

But that's probably because I didn't think they would use the worst character in the show's history as the basis for the finale.

I was thinking the exact opposite. Chasing an armed bad guy while unarmed with weapons available? Makes no sense...

The first 90 minutes were good. The final 30 minutes sucked. Seeing Renee go over to the dark side after her talk with Jack was just silly.

I think a better ending would have been Jack flat lining. It would have left us wanting to know if Jack actually died.

I missed the ending...the last thing I saw was Janis handcuffing herself to the pipe. What happened after that????? Please let me knew.

Exactly how I thought it was going to end...Jack's heart rate dropping to nothing and then no silent clock...

No real big surprises tonight...seems like next season will take place directly after this one...only way it makes sense to me

I actually like it. I guess we can expect Jack calling her up to help next season. After the end, I felt Tony story turned out. Oh well, it is still an entertaining season. We just have to wait for next year. New York is a good place start a new season.

Is anyone really going to purchase this season 7 dvd even you know the ending?

makes no sense in hollywood, but if i'm in the situation Id probably do what Kim did. Running around an airport that just got shot to hell with a gun stolen off of a dead security officer with 10,000 cops around trying to figure out what happened and who the bad guys are probably isnt the best idea.

Of course in 24 world everyone has all the information immediately and every cop knows exactly what Kim looks like based upon Agent Walker's verbal description she had about 10 seconds to give so she probably could have gotten away with running around with a gun. But in reality... leave the guns, take the Canolli

Bad guy wasnt interested in kim, it was obvious he was just running, so hang back and tail the guy stay far enough behind that if he does see you, you can run like hell. Smartest thing she's done in 7 years.
