Sutherland was on Jimmy Fallon last night. Says season 8 is placed in New York City and will begin with him still in the coma only a few months after season 7 ends (instead of the normal 3 years or so that have passed between seasons) and go from there. At the end of season 6 he said on Leno that he had signed on for another 3 seasons (days) so I'd say there is at least 2 more seasons in the pipe and possibly more if the numbers stay up there.
He also announced on Fallon last night that season 7 is already out on DVD and Blu-ray because there are so many fans that now don't watch the show week by week and like to watch it all at once. If you add those fans who have stopped watching through the season to watch via DVD to the numbers 24 is still getting weekly it is still a very strong performer.

After all, why work your tail off when you can get paid handsomely for essentially doing nothing?

.How big of a screen do we need with Jacks big ego to fit on? this is still my favorite show on tv now that the Unit is canceled...
