PJ and PC's who's doing it? Tweaks, etc

I have seen a few people who are using there projectors with a PC or a HTPC.
Just want to see if we can pool knowledge, hints, tweaks.

Example of one recently found that helped me was

So what other tips do people have that we all may share in this knowledge?

For those using Media Center if you run the wizard you can set the resoultion to say 720P vs your desktop (which tend to be higher).

If you use Codecs to play files they dont "lock" down your system like Media center does. This allows you to surf and watch a movie/play games etc as needed.

Yes but its scattered and mostly dealing with the building process/hardware and or connections to TV's.

Just trying to get people who are using a projector with the PC in one spot.

Still if an admin thinks thats a better spot by all means move this topic

Subscribing to this as I'll be purchasing a projector and building an HTPC in the next couple months, and the software side of it has my head spinning. It's even more complicated than picking a screen
