need advice please 2 jl w3v1

hey guys, real nice forum, decided to join. i need a little advice, i have 2 12" jl w3 v1 in a sealed box and a Hitron HRA-2900B 1400W 2 CH Amp. theres nothing wrong with them but i was wondering if i bridged them will they go louder without harming the two 12's?

I can't find any information on your amplifier. Do you have a link to the spec page for it? Also, what's the voice coil configuration for your subs? We need to know more information about your system before your question can be answered.

Your amplifier is probably only stable down to 4 ohms when bridged. This would give you the same power as 2 ohms stereo wiring, so no advantage would be achieved.

what amp will push these two subwoofers to its optimum, not max?

You would want a 2 channel amplifier that will produce 250 watts per channel into 2 ohms, or an amplifier that will produce 500 watts into 1 ohm. I know that your amplifier is rated at 500 watts rms per channel, but I'm extremely skeptical of an $80 amplifier producing that much power. I'd recommend heading down to your local stereo shop and seeing what they offer. JL makes some very high quality amplifiers that would match up with those subs nicely. I'd also recommend looking into Planet Audio if you have any dealers near you. They make solid amplifiers and really stand behind their product.
