A alternative to the discontinued Pioneer PDP-XX80HD Serious !!

Looks like the NEC XC10 is the perfect replacement for the long gone Pioneer PDP-XX80HD. The NEC unit has excellent scaling abilities. SD content is the best I have seen to date. HD, well HD is awsome on anything is it not Another excellent piece for the home theater enthusiast. Pics of our new NEC enclosed. ( I am pretty certain the grey part of the bezel can be removed. ) NEC does have a 42", 50" and 60" availible. All 720P units though as the XX80 were from Pioneer. Nice thing is these units can be bought for less then the Pioneers where last selling for.

Never had burn in issues, image retention maybe. I did see a little retention on my NEC 50XR5A, have not seen any on this model. NEC sold there plasma plant to Pioneer 18 months ago, which will be closing. I can not seem to get a firm answer on who is making there panels.
