I now can change inputs with my A1 without losing the HDMI handshake! Thank you Toshiba.
I upgraded for v2.4 to v3.0 via ethernet, with no problems. My player was working fine, but I too was annoyed that the player would lose its HDMI connection so easily of you switched to antoher source.
The new firmware is working fine for me, and now I can switch to antoher source withough having to start teh movie over. This is terrific.
I too was surprised to see Toshiba come out with another firmware update for this "dead format". That's a classy move by Toshiba to support this player despite the format being "dead".
I am definetly open to buying Toshiba products again in the future.
