Strange, because it seems as if the TV was cold, that's when it does it. But when the TV seemingly "warms up", it disappears again.
I would definitely experiment with this. First off if it happens with any input and whether or not devices are on or off, then it is definitely just the TV all by itself that is doing it. No handshake weirdness or other HDMI incompatibilities.
Try it a few times over the next week or so, and see if it truly is a cold vs warm thing. If so that could mean that there is a very slightly loose connection or a cold solder joint somewhere. Either of those could case either a 'permanent' incident, or other oddness to occur down the line. Basically you could have some connection somewhere that doesn't quite make a full circuit, but when the set heats up the parts expand and then touch. Either through repeated expanding/contracting or other physical things (vibration, shock, slow pull of gravity, etc) it could eventually get to the point where it no longer connects when the parts expand.
I personally wouldn't want to deal with that. However I would also want to make sure that that is what is really going on, and document it really well before calling for support.
With any intermittent issue you will have a bit of struggle with getting support as if the repair technician can't repeat the issue then they will think that nothing is wrong. And unless you have really well documented experiences they will not likely want to take the time to find out if it behaves differently when it is warm vs cold (as they will not want to wait while the set warms up, or in your case they might turn on the set, and deal with something else until it is already warm and not see the issue).
Of course it could just be a glitch as well, and you might not run into again. Just experiment a bit and see what comes up.
