No that's not a mistake. They did the samething with the VU32L It was listed at Sear's before they listed on their website. I find it odd they do it that way. But I would think at some point this week it will be available.

Hmm Target huh? This is the first model be sold there isn't it? Interesting, I wonder how many different lines they are going to start to carry.

But very nice specs on the VO42 with 5ms response time, I wonder what the on screen contrast ration will be. Not listed on the Target site. But nice find though.

Been waiting for the 42" version to come out for a while now.
In Vizio press release, it suppose to come out in April.
If Target is getting this in, Costco should be too.
Curious to see what Costco will have it for.
If Target $1049 hold true with free shipping, then you can find a way to get 10% off and get it for $945+tax free shipping.
I like the VO47L alot but still waiting for Costco to have one of its special on the Vizio for me to get one or else I'd settle for the 42" instead.

The VO42L finally shows up on Vizio's site with a $1099 MSRP.
I'm guessing Costco will be selling this for $999.

Checked this set out on the Vizio web site. It seems to come with the same basic remote the VO 32 the 37 has. Also has the same menu interface with some new and different labeled features but some advanced features taken away. I kind of expected the VO42L to have the same remote that comes with the VO47L. People buying 40" + LCD TV's tend to be more of a videophile. Not saying videophiles don't buy smaller LCD's but in the larger sizes just about every consumer starts to get more serious. Something simple like including the fancy remote would be a nice touch for sure.

Interestingly the new VU42L comes with a nicer (but old style) remote and has the older but considered better menu interface.

I tell you Vizio is all over the place with these new models. Other then looks all these new sets have little in common. I really want to like Vizio but the product inconsistency's are killing me. Really they are what they are. They are affordable and put out a high average PQ. I still think they represent a great value but if you want product consistency I would look elsewhere. Pretty easy thing to do with the falling prices.

WOOHOO! I have been waiting for them to release the 42" version of this set. The 47" versions I have played with are absolutely stellar and I hope that the 42" version stays the same. I know what I will be getting this Christmas!!

Went by Costco today and the guy there told me the TV is in their system.
It will be $999 but it doesn't say when they will get them.
Will be soon though.

I've had my VO42L for a little over a week now, and I love it! It was the one that I wanted, but, wasn't in my budget, so I had to pass on it AND...I paid $797 for it!! At Walmart. But don't go rushing off just yet. The one I was looking at was the VW42L and that one was on sale for $797. Well, I asked the salesman on the floor if they had the VW42L in stock and I even pointed it out to him. He went in the back room and came out with it, or so I thought. However, when the girl at the register rang it up, the price came up $898 or $998, I forgot. I told her it was on sale for $797 and showed her the price, so she called a manager to help facilitate the $797 price. The same salesman helped me get it to my car, but, the back door didn't open far enough to load the box into the back seat, so, we removed the box. Looking at it, while loading it into the back seat, IT WASN'T THE VW42L(!!), but, the VO42L!! To put it simple: Ah luhve me some VO42L!!
