Good Receiver Match-up for NHT Classics?

I posted this question in the forum for receivers and got no bites, so I thought I'd try it over here. I know that some receiver / speaker combos just don't work well together while others seem to really match each other's strengths and/or diminish weaknesses. Are there any receivers I should strongly consider / avoid with the NHT Classic series? I'm probably going with the Classic Four's up front with 3C for center and Three's for surround.

Classics seem to run 86 to 87db sensitivity, so they need some reserve power in the amplifier section of the receiver to get the most out of them. Rarely do speakers "match" a receiver.....the receiver just needs enough output power to drive the speakers to an optimum level. Yamaha V663/V863 or Onkyo SR605/SR705 series should work, just depends on how deep your pockets are.

I'd suggest Cambridge Audio, NAD, or possibly Marantz. If memory serves me the sensitivity on 3's drops to below 84db. I used a Yamaha V659 with 3's for a bit and used both a NAD 753 and Cambridge 540R with them. The Cambridge was better than the NAD. Just my .02.

Thanks for the advice. I'm considering a Denon 3808 and the Pioneer Elite 94TXH. I haven't considered NAD, but I know a local store carries them so I'll check them out.
