Wii deals thread

Thread Starter
I figure since many Wii owners are probably budget conscious, and Amazon, etc. has been doing a lot of deals on Wii games as late, it'd be handy to have a thread here where we can all notify each other of good bargain finds. Thanks to any contributors.

I'm not sure if this kind of thread is against the rules, but if it is, someone let me know and I will delete it. Delete the crap out of it.

No More Heroes $30 shipped

Okami $37 shipped

Madden NFL 08 $30 shipped

NMH for $30 is a smokin deal. Was worth it to me @ $45 (got it barely used via EB Games).

Don't forget about the Sunday Ads (I'm not a big fan of waiting on something in the mail).
Not the best week to use as a example but here goes....

Circuit City
World Championship Boxing - 9.99
Summer Sports - $10 gift card w/ purchase (39.99)

BestBuy
Mario/Sonic Olympics - 39.99 ($10 off)

Is World Championship Boxing...how do I put this...any good? Worth even $10?
Thanks for the heads up Mongo. Been looking for a deal on NMH.

Well, don't thank me too much, sadly (or happily, depending on your perspective), it seems like $30 is quickly becoming the going rate for a new copy of NMH.
Well, I don't normally look for many deals online, maybe I should from now on. I haven't seen NMH for less than $45 in a B&M store. So I happily thank you. :-) But it does kinda suck that such a great game is on the discount rack.

We really need a game deal and trading forum here I think...a place to post hot deals on all game systems and to trade stuff with other members..

Anyone know the webmaster?

This thread is going to cost me money.

Not to me it isn't. I even exchanged Mario Party 8 for this one.

Not something I play everyday but it's a riot in multi.

Ninja-Edit: NMH is 30 bucks CDN here as well (in Wal-Mart, ebgames is still 50 $).

Mercury Meltdown $20 + $4 shipping

I hear this is a pretty underrated puzzler. Though again, I'm not sure how much of a discount this is against the everyday price in most stores.

Wow. Nice find, jbsimm. Where did you find that ad?
I got it from a post on the Amazon wii forum. I am not sure where they got it from. It is usually reliable though.

Wiimote Dual Charger $10 shipped

I can't speak of the quality (not sure of the brand), but the user reviews, all three of them, are all positive. Either way, $10 seems worth a shot for anyone looking for a controller charging station.

$10 for a dual charging station? I better jump on that deal fast!

If in the market for Wii accessories, hit this link:

http://www.meritline.com/nintendo-wii-accessory.html

Meritline.com has a 40% off coupon code on their site. The link will bring up the code as well as page 1 of their available accessories.

Wii Accessory Pack at Buy.com $30

Contains: "Thrustmaster" Wireless Gamepad, Go Kart Racing Wheel, Set of Wiimote & Nunchuck Protective Grips, & Recharging Stand w/2 Rechargeable Nimh AA Batteries

I have no experience with any of the items in this pack, but of note is that the unfortunately named "Thrustmaster" -- reportedly a pretty decent wireless alternative to a Virtual Console controller or a GC pad -- costs $25 by itself, so you're basically getting a single-remote charger, wheel, and the other crap for $5. I'd say worth a look if you're in the market for either a charger or a wireless controller for VC games, or want to make a whiny friend/sibling use an inferior Wii Wheel alternative for Mario Kart.

Manhunt 2 $20 + shipping

Experience the thrill of politically pressured toned-down murder simulation for probably the price it should have been offered at in the first place!

NMH has been out for a little while (Jan 08 in the US), so the price is gonna drop eventually.

Can say that locally, EB Games & it's cousins (GameStop, Software Etc) all have NMH new for $29.99 now. I believe the local ToyR Us also lowered the price.

If anything, making it cheaper might lead to more people trying it out....and likely enjoying the hell out of it.

Actually, I finally picked it up at CC when they had it onsale last Sunday. Just wish they would have had more of a selection for $19.99.

Hopefully more will find NMH now @ the new lower price & jump in. More NMH sales could lead to Suda51's hinted at sequel coming to pass.

While not the prettiest looking game out there, it does show that both "mature" game titles as well as titles from 3rd party developers can in fact can in fact stand neck & neck with the other formats in terms of "hardcore gamer" happiness on the Wii.

If it turns out as cool as the early previews have made it out to be, the Wii edition of FORCE UNLEASHED (and the 1st "real" lightsaber action game, as opposed to the pseudo-saber stuff in NMH) could further dispell the belief that Wii is just for kids, grandmas & those into mini-games and voting channels.

In case you're one of the few Wii owners who are fans of the franchise but didn't pick this up immediately.

Edit: Okay, the link doesn't work for some reason, but just go to Amazon and search for it.

It might be better if you just update the first post with new deals. That way we don't have to search the entire thread.

Maybe, but that sounds like a lot of work. Besides, it's not like this is an excessively long thread.
