Hey webb, if you wanna set up a day and time sometime, I'd be up for it. I haven't played in months.

Don't forget about me! I'd be happy to dust this puppy off again.

Haven't had one of these in a while...

Toys "Backwards R" Us has Zack and Wiki for $10.

I hate to admit it, but it's now finally at a price that I feel like picking it up. 'course with tax and shipping it'll be closer to $15, but good enough.

Edit: I picked this up in-store, where it ended up being even lower -- $7. So, with tax, a bit over $8 for a brand-new, critically acclaimed Wii game!

Coupon code for $5 off $25 (valid 07-18, 07-19): 923256

Should be good in-store as well.

I combined this with No More Heroes for ~$43 shipped for both. If I saw the edit in time I would have tried going to the store. Ah well, I paid $5 for convenience I guess.

edit: well, TRU probably has the worst online checkout system. I tried canceling, it says "unable to cancel". Fine, I'll live it with, now I see that is has been cancelled. So, I'll try to get to a store now.

In my view, there is literally no excuse for not picking up an $8 Wii game that does not have both "Game" and "Party" in the title (also, any variation of the "word" "Petz"). I don't care if you're friggin' homeless -- BUY IT, TRY IT. THROW IT AWAY IF YOU HATE IT THAT MUCH. IT'S EIGHT FREAKING DOLLARS. Hell, I almost bought two copies at $8, just because it's so ridiculous.

Thinking a trip to TRU this weekend is in order, esp if this game is that good. Maybe will drop by on the way home from THE DARK KNIGHT (already got tixs!!)

[OFFTOPIC]Ohhhhh yeah! Got my tickets a couple days ago myself, for a 12:10AM showing tonight. Adding to the I'm-super-cool factor: Today's my birthday, and that's pretty much all I'm doing in celebration of it. Woo![/OFFTOPIC]

Besides the fact its a great third-party game that everyone should own.

GoGamer.com has Guitar Hero: Aerosmith for $35 right now.

(Belated thanks for the birthday wishes, webb!)

You're welcome.....what did you think of DARK KNIGHT?

Decent price for the Aerosmith game. Rented it last week....pretty cool extension of GHIII. Liked the presense of older, somewhat obscure (to casual Aerosmith fans) tracks as well as the "classics". Nice combo of non-Aero tracks, too.

Plus the 1st track I played was Cheap Trick's DREAM POLICE.....that takes me back to my childhood (yeah...I'm old!). The Cult track takes me back to high school. One of the songs my old band back then used to cover.

IF I do get this, it'll likely be used. But thinking I may wait for World Tour.

Yeah, I figure it's not a bad price for a song pack, unless (like me) you have absolutely zero interest in Aerosmith. If it dropped much lower I might, however, have to pick it up just for Dream Police.

As for Dark Knight...you know, I went into the midnight showing trying to stay as unhyped as possible, figuring I might start nodding off during some of the more "talky" parts...but man, I was blown away. I have some issues regarding A) how the Harvey Dent character is handled toward the end B) the idea that Maggie Gyllenhaal is supposed to be attractive, but otherwise, totally exceeded my expectations. I might have to see it again on IMAX and it might be the first Blu-Ray title I'll actually buy instead of Netflixing.

Well, of course there is a catch (biggest one is the catch of having to pay Comcast prices after the promo pricing ends).

And a Comcast deal w/ a contract.....hmm.

Better off looking for a Wii on a store shelf.

If you don't like Comcast though, I kind of wonder what would happen if you are "in the top 0.01%" of bandwidth users in your area two months in a row and they are forced to disconnect you (I've gotten threatened with that once, and there's other stories of similar incidents online). Would they ask for the Wii back?

No, they'd make you pay a penalty fee that ended up costing you way more than the Wii by itself would have to begin with.

2yrs is a long time. Save yourself the frustration and just buy one off the shelf.

I've already had one myself for a while, I was just throwing the idea out there. :P

Not sure if this qualifies as a real "deal" (you save a whopping $5), but newegg.com has a Wii bundle right now consisting of:

Nintendo Wii Console (w/ Wii Sports)
Mario Super Sluggers
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 All Play
Madden 2009 All Play
Rock Band Wii Bundle
Blast Works: Build, Fuse & Destroy
Original price: $589.94

Your price - $584.94

No smokin discounts, but a pretty serious bundle of multiplayer/party goodies.

TRU is having a 3 for 2 sale on all games under $20.

The only game I found worth the purchase was Geometry Wars and I don't need three copies... Maybe someone else can find something worthwhile?
