do you set all of them to "GO ON" at the same time to start, and then update the files one by one in UFU...3)
do you have to unhook everything from your receiver to do this, or can you do this while everything is still hooked up and on the rack? Thanks!!
I took liberty of putting #'s in your post so I can answer in order
1. No specific order. I & several here did the CDR update 1st & some have done the CDR one just it by itself without the others.
2. Do them one at a time & select each subsystem separately
. One GO ON at a time, update, verify and do the next.
I don't know if you could do several GO ON's with UFU but I would not do it that way even if it could. It's possible that if the program tried to update the wrong subsystem, it would stop. But that's no guarantee. Take your time, do a system, verify it got updated and then move to the next one. Safe way is usually the best way
3. You can leave everything hooked up. You will have to do a full reset as outlined in the directions so all your MCACC & input assignments will be lost. Before I updated, I recorded all my input & other settings on a spreadsheet. You'll have to re-run auto MCACC unless you want to record all the calibration info and manually re-enter.
You need a null modem or crossed over rs232 cable, not regular serial. And USB-serial adapters work, such as Belkin's. That's the one I have used & no problems. The com port in the UFU has to be set to match your serial port or USB-serial adapter.
Let us know how it works out for u
you might want to do the CDR one 1st anyway, it's a confidence builder for the others
and it's the one that fixes the DTS-MA bomb and Star Wars glitches.
