So for your specific question about D*, it probably doesn't matter. It's how I run my D* box.

For things like Blu-ray and any true high bandwidth HD, then HDMI should be better and can do 1080p.

Yeah, there have been posters that have argued that the 750 doesn't necessarily do 5:5 after deinterlacing. But you know what? If that were the case, it would probably also be the case that it does not do 5:5 with 1080p24.

Any calibration settings for PS3 games. Played socom, but had to turn the brightness way up, but the screen now looks washed out. Thought I was hiding in the shadows, but kept getting killed. Apparently, they weren't shadows, just looked like they were on the tv.

The software first allows you to adjust the brightness and contrast settings, it then displays some images (RGB colors) and then allows you to adjust the color settings based on the reading of those displayed images. Now I can see how this would work if you used the DVI input but then you would only have the DVI connection calabrated since each input has its own settings.

Are you using or creating a special DVD or using different software?
