Need songs with really low bass? - Page 3

Can anyone offer some thoughts on where to get a copy of the Soundhound disc? I've seen it mentioned a number of times, but most posts referencing a download have long been edited.

Any of the albums by the Gorillaz will give you excellent bass, for really good extension try Clint Eastwood from the G-Sides album.

Another one is O Fortuna by Carl Orff. You have to get the right performance, and i can't figure out which one it is that i have. I have long lost the album artwork. There is a TREMENDOUSLY powerful bass drum that will astound you.

For more bass, you can also look at the rap group Nemesis.

i dont even listen to MP3 anymore unless at LEAST 320K - i have ripped everything i have to FLAC, but am curious to try ripping to monkey's audio - supposedly lossless and you can uncompress to WAV so its an exact copy of the original track.

for the OP, the only thing i can think of off the top of my head for crazy bass is lady gaga - 'just dance' and LL cool J - 'around the way girl' - and of course ANYTHING by techmaster PEB

the one track that i've noticed that had the most awesome bass was called 'Five Millenia Later'

easliy a 30HZ or below unforgiving kick drum

Speaking of Taiko, the closing song on Battlestar Galactica is my favorite Taiko - awesome

Underworld-River of bass-is good material to get your shirt sleeves/pant legs blowing.

Try the rap group Three Six Mafia, the song Late Nite Tip has really good bass on that track. Another song that I like for low bass is the band Lacuna Coil and the song is called Cold Heritage has some really low bass on it as well. Lil Wayne album Tha Carter III and the song called A-Milli is great as well. Tons of great bass songs out there you just have to find them.

Look up DJ Magic Mike. All of his stuff hits really hard.

And my personal favorite for insane bass is the beginning of Candy Shop. Hits hard.

There's enough here to shut down your sub amp(s) (play at your own risk, I have owned this disc for years and killed many subs that just could not handle it)...

I just remembered a CD that came out in the 90's (?) The Great Fantasy Adventure Album from Telarc. Killer bass!

I have the bassotronics album which is 1000 kbs and wicked quality.

I prefer FLAC files now as they offer a much better sound quality than 320 kbs track. Alot more detail in them and much clearer.

Not just test tones, there are about 17 songs on the disc. Look it up on iTunes...

Here is one very good bass example, good music too:

You'll need a GOOD subwoofer and >> 1kW bass power to hear (=feel) it.

Another suitable artist for powerfull bass is Infected Mushroom. Their album B.P. Empire has very strong bass, but there's almost nothing under 30 Hz.

50 cent - "In Da Club" has a really low nice beat to it

Can anyone recommend some good bass songs that are NOT rap or hip hop? I'm a middle-aged white guy that likes good old rock and roll. Playing actual instruments are a plus.

NIN are ok sometimes, but not definitely my favorite. I like the Fear Factory remix album - Remanufacture, but I think my room is too big for a single PC13-Ultra.

top notch production from these guys. More known for their dnb but made an absolute classic album that spans the different electronic genres.
