National Treasure 2: Book Of Secrets (Blu-ray) Official AVSForum Review - Page 2

No dropouts on my end with that AVR and Panny BD30 player.

Watched this movie last night and was very impressed with the PQ. The colors were amazing on my 1080p projector. They really popped. I thought the movie was not quite as good as the first one (story) but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Another top notch transfer from Disney.

Just finished Treasure 1, will watch 2 this week-end, I can't brag up the audio with a sound bar but PQ was great and even with just optical soundbar and woofer there was good sound. I put this in thread 1 and 2, well worth the money.

I must be missing something because most of these don't actually appear to have any review at all.

I checked the archives thread and that just links here. What am I missing?

I enjoyed the other reviews and would like to see these as well hahaa

Cheers

Greetings,

I had originally posted this review on another website prior to posting it here. Due to copyright questions we removed the review. Sorry about that....

Regards,

Ahh ok, makes sense. Unfortunate that you don't actually have any rights to your own work in this day and age.
I look forward to new reviews.

Cheers and welcome

It's actually debatable whether Ralph could post them here or not from a legal standpoint. If he wasn't paid or didn't sign away his rights to HIS work, then he could post it anywhere that he wants, but he can't request it to be taken down on the other site because they own the right to display it as well (at least that is my understanding of the law).

Well, I do hope Ralph starts posting his reviews here exclusively now, so long that it is equally beneficial to him.

I have read many HDM reviews from different people on different sites around the web.

Ralph is definitely the first reviewer who I have yet to find any personal disagreement with on the PQ/AQ (or, so far, even the actual content for that matter).

Great job.

What the heck happened to my post? At least notify me if your going to remove a post. The post was asking about sound issues with NT2.

Yesterday I had the chance on watching this one. In terms of the video, I agree with you Ralph... However, in terms of the sound is not bad, but I wouldn't consider it demo material..Dialogue is crisp, and the music sounds good. But I guess that the sound design is not that great... The MR scene is great!

While the PQ and the audio were pretty good, I was disappointed in this film. Typical formula sequel, re-serve the same dish, with a slightly different version of the story. I loved the first movie, but this one was wayyy too predictable for me. Worth a rental fee though if you like this kind of story, just don't expect to be blown away.
