Interesting... apparently 89% of people polled will replay MGS4 for the trophies. I would like to revisit the game, but my backlog is too big.

I agree, seems a bit "easy". Especially considering how hard the Big Boss emblem is to get compared to the Platinum

But, Might be a bit more then originally stated.

^^^^ I'll guarantee that the hidden trophies have to do with story spoilers. Kill this person, kill that person, blah, blah, blah. Still, a good excuse to play this game again since, amazingly, I never played it after finishing it back in '08. Amazing since I beat Solid for PS1 at least five times.

Doesn't one of the iPod tracks (Sounds of the Battlefield trophy) involve getting all the emblems including the Big Boss one? Not so easy.

Now that you mention it getting "The Patriot" requires a Big Boss run, so hopefully the weapons trophy IS all weapons, and not just all regular weapons.

One of the iPod songs requires connecting to MGO, so it's going to be interesting to see how they deal with that. Update must unlock it by default...

There are 34 trophies total. The 20 above and 14 hidden, according to ps3trophies.org. I remember pretty much nothing about the game. I played it when it first came out, beat it and never went back. I think that was when COD4 was out and I was playing the hell out of it. Need to go get this one again and replay. Hell, I have the MG collection and haven;t touched it yet

Patch is live now

Yup, the trophies were deceivingly difficult. The platinum will take 7-8 play throughs, and because of the requirements of some (guns, ipod songs), you will end up getting all emblems anyways. So a Big Boss play-through and getting all the emblems is pretty much forced.

Excellent. I like platinums that separate the boys from the geeks.

Once again, if you haven't played MGS 1, 2 & 3; be sure to do so first. The gameplay is great, but you miss a lot of epic story by not doing so.
