D* HR20, have to choose between HD 2.1 vs SD with dolby 7.1 channels?

I sent a while searching...Can't seem to find the answer.

I have a DTV HR20 going through the new Onkyo TX SR 506 using HDMI cables. If I chose a HD channel I only get 2.1 or I can do the SD channel and get Dolby 7.1. Any ideas of what the problem could be?

If you have DD enabled on the HR20 and are watching a channel with 5.1 surround, you should be getting 5.1. You probably are switching to Pro-Logic on SD channels and the 506 is converting 2.0 to 7.1. Try the audio forums here for more assistance with the SR 506.

I figured it out...Non SD channels are not dolby, meaning all five speakers are playing the same thing, lol...HD channels are dolby where the rears don't do as much...
