I'll get some screen shots up again soon.

I have that exact cable box, and holy hell, is it HOT! Your PS3 must get seriously warm, if not hot.

I would definitely consider moving the PS3 to allow proper ventilation for your cable box, let alone your PS3.

That looks like a Scientific Atlanta 8300 HD cable box...mine runs completely cool, so I'm surprised to hear your concerns.

What a nice improvement to your setup. How do you like the CS2 and Monitor 60's? Exact setup I was thinking of upgrading too. I have CSR and R50's right now and am very pleased with Polk. I would put the PS3 on the other speaker like you were saying. Personally, I have mine sitting on top of my subwoofer and it is a lot quieter now. Haven't heard the hairdryer blowing since I moved it there.

I am in the same boat as Avarice...it runs pretty cool, but i dont like my PS3 being hidden (I am one of a few that actually likes the way the PS3 looks).

I am considering some sort of two shelf av tower to stack up a few items on. I can go the route of putting the 360 on one speaker and the PS3 on the other, but like I said, I want to put the receiver in the middle (optical cables are getting bent because of the cable mgmt rail). This leaves me with trying to find a spot for the cable box.

There's always something else to buy!!!!!

BBS G35...it was like photo hunt (those touch screen games at the bar) when looking at your first two photos. I was like...there are mirrors in the second but none in the first, where's the wendy's cup, there's no lamps in the first one!?!

Pretty dern nice setup though. I really like the arctic white lighting on either side of the TV.

Well, im not married yet, but soon to be. I made a bet with my girl that if she did not hear an audible difference with a before and after with the acoustic panels, I would gladly take them down quietly and sell them. As you can see, they do make an immediate difference, even to those that know nothing of sound.

Just a quick update...moved the PS3 to the left cabinet speaker, and I am pretty pleased with the arrangement. Next up...cinemaquest Ideal lume and a few of those acoustic panels pictured above:

Ouch!

No! Nothing is IKEA! The sofa is from Macys furniture, the TV stand was from a local urban furniture store, and pretty much everything else is from Pottery Barn. (wife loves that place )

Not sure how well this works, or if it works for flat screen tv's, but this is what I use for mounting my center speaker on my Samsung dlp rear projections tv. My tv is fairly thin, and it works fine.

That's awesome...I dont know how in all my research I didnt come across a shelf like this. I think it would work with the flat panel...but only one way to find out.

PS3 is by far the best BD player on the market. The fact that you can get your fw updates via the web is what sets this thing apart from the rest. It's future proof. Also, you don't have to sit there and wait 3 minutes for the thing to boot. It's also extremely quiet.

+1....and....the abundance of other media capabilities make it far more than a BD player. You'll never regret it if you choose to rely on the PS3 for BD and multimedia playback.
