How Do I Hookup my PC to Pioneer AVR?

Thread Starter
I have a Pioneer Elite VSX 92 THX receiver and want to hookup my PC so I can surf the web while listening to music off the hard drive.

I have a DVI to HDMI cable for the graphics output and a digital output from my Soundblaster X-Fi card to the DVD/LD digital input on the Pioneer.

Problem has been I cannot get both the video and audio to play at the same time. I can either watch the monitor (Sony 52" LCD) or listen to music with no monitor.

Any suggestions would be greatly apprecaited.

sorry to say this but RTFM.... what you need to do is map the hdmi input your using on the receiver to the spdif input your using.

read the manual there is a section in there that explains how to do that.

I hear you - page 67 of the manual gives an overview of what to do and so forth - so far I have mastered how to not do it

'll play with it some more tonight By the way, what does RTFM mean? My kids text message all the time so I am learning what BTW and so forth mean but have not seen RTFM before.
