Chat in Wii Kart - any chance of getting it improved?

The pre-programmed stuff in the rooms is just flat out useless. When I hook up with friends we invariably have to end up calling each other b/c the worthless chat messages don't help.

Yea I know....just thought I'd throw it out there.
