One large TV or two smaller

I'm starting to plan out a gaming room in a semi-finished basement. The question I have is would it be better to get one large (>50") TV/projector, or two smaller (<40") TV's for gaming? The two would be better for a tournement style games and/or head to head games, but one large would be good for single player gaming. I have two daughters (8 & 5) & a wife that are into gaming. As the girls get older I'd like to use the room as another movie/TV watching area.

I'm also looking into getting 4 gaming chairs? Any suggetions? How well do they work if 4 are playing one game. For example, if I'm playing Football and I sack the quarterback, the quarterback should feel the impact, and maybe the "sacker", but not the other two players.

What type of consoles are you hooking up? For me, I went from playing my 360 on a 32" to my new Samsung 56", and the difference is amazing. For me, bigger is better.

I have XBOX, PS2, & Wii. I plan on getting either a XBOX 360 and/or a PS3 as well. Right now I'm leaning towards going the projector route with a 65"-70" screen. My only concern is when people stand up to play the Wii, that they don't cast shadows onto the screen.
