Looking for a good screen to use with a Sanyo PLV-Z2000

Looking for a good screen to use with this projector. I will be sitting about 9ft away and need a 92-100" screen. The projector will be about 10.5ft away from the screen give or take. I want to keep it as cheap as possible as well say sub $500.

Oh, the room only has one window, so it should be fairly light controlled during the day. I will be covering that one window with something or another to stop the sun light.

Thanks

At your viewing distance, stick with 92". A 16:9 Da-Lite Model C with CSR in Matte White is a quality screen that will fit your budget (after discount).

I am considering a similar setup. Why not go with the High Power dalite screen, especially since this is not a particularly bright projector? Also, why not model B instead of model C for less money--at 92", is there really any reason to go with model C dalite?

I have read that the larger roller of the model C is less likely to cause wrinkles. Don't know how true that is though. A search in this forum for "wrinkles" might get you additional info.

After researching the various screens on the market, for price and quality I too will be using the Carada (Criterion) Brilliant White with my Z2000...Was just delivered yesterday so I don't know 1st hand what it'll look like yet...Most people say it should look cherry

I have a 4-year-old Da-Lite Video Spectra 1.5 screen (92-inch diagonal) which works great with my old Z2 projector, but with the Z2000 there is an interaction between the dot pitch/size and the faintly dimpled pattern of the screen. This produces a Moire pattern of nearly vertical intensity modulation--i.e., faintly visible nearly vertical stripes which are evident on large areas with uniform illumination. They shimmer and move if the projector or screen is tapped, and the stripes disappear if I hold up a piece of white paper in front of the screen.

Does anybody know if the Da-Lite matte white surface is perfectly smooth, or is it also infected with the dimples of the Video Spectra material? I presume the dimples are involved in providing some forward gain.
