The only thing I've really come to hate is the blur effect when the camera or anything moves very quickly. Is there anything I can do on this set to improve that?? Other than that I'm extremely happy with it. The HD channels I am getting look awesome.
P.S. Another downfall is that I don't think SD channels look very good at all on this set.
P.P.S. As of right now, I have the Dish Network reciever hooked up via RCA/Composite cables, will/could some of these issues be cleared up after upgrading to an HDMI cable? Thanks.
Don't know where your "Noise Reduction" is set to, but there is less blur if you turn it off.
As for the blotchy black, I've been looking at a lot of display models at different stores. It seem like some sets have no blotchy effect, while others do. I think mine is worst than all the ones I've seen on display. I'm not sure if mine is actually worse, or just that I notice it more because of lighting conditions. I saw a 52LG50 that had no blotchy effect at all.
It doesn't bother me that much, but then again, I would feel better if it wasn't there. I'm planing to exchange my 47" for either another one of the same model, or go to the 52". That 52" was just on sale on the weekend, so I think I missed my chance
