We've decided to take the leap and get a TV that we can watch next year. Right now we have rabbit ears on a 20 year old 21" set that we sit about 20 feet from. We get one station fairly good and another some of the time. The room has a lot of windows so I think we need a LCD and am looking at 42" - 47" but that's about all I know for sure. We watch a couple of DVD's a week on an older DVD/VCR combo that we would like to use with the new TV, if we can, and plan to get an outdoor antenna put up, but will not get much better reception as we are in the middle of nowhere.
I am looking for any suggestions on a TV, what to buy, where to buy it and how much we need to spend ($1,000 - $1,200?). We are 20 miles from Walmart, and about 70 from Best Buy / Circuit City.
