VMC and DTS PlEASE HELP!

I have searched and read these forums but i still cannot find a strait answer to this question. Is it possible to get DTS in VMC using the 7.1 analog outputs of my mobo and utilizing the advanced features of the vista sound setup with the mic ect. I know this works flawlessly with Vista's built in decoder, but only for DD. I also know you can change the decoders vista uses with some decoder tool program, but i have read that this has caused some systems to become unstable. I would just like to know if this is do-able now before I try upgrading agin. Thanks for all the help.

If you have a DTS capable decoder installed, then yes it's possible. Try AC3Filter: http://ac3filter.net/releases/ac3filter_1_46_stable

With the acfilter you mentioned do you use the MS video deocder and the ac3filter audio decoder? also does it work with vista sound setup utility?

Yes, it will work with the MS Video decoder and you should be able to set it as the default audio decoder.
