The perfect (well, nearly!) media player?

Guys

Well, whilst I wait for a new f/w cut for the Limhd200i...I'm sure we will get one at some stage...lol...it got me thinking.

If you look at the posts for all the new media players...people are happy...ish.

So how about a thread where folks can post their ideas in one place for new next gen media players...you never know, they may actually look in here from time to time for some ideas....

Anyone care to start with their wish list (keep it reasonable)...

Alas, the Holy Grail for me will not be the Holy Grail for others, although some options may overlap

I think USB slave is a waste of time, who seriously wants to physically plug it in to transfer things, when I can just sit at work and do any transferring needed.

* The player needs to play all original content. It is very annoying that DVDs that I have actually paid for, will generally not play. (without me hacking them). This is all about CSS license naturally, (read Money) but really, it is about time for CSS to Open their license to all hardware makers for free, as DVDs are entering their twilight years.

* Networked is a must

* Play mp3s while you queue more is a must.

* Bookmarks for played items! If I have to stop my movie, and let the kids watch something, I want to be able to get right back to where I stopped, FAST

* under-the-hood access. (telnet, ssh). Its my device! Nobody will buy a car where you are not allowed to look under the hood, even if you know nothing about engines! It is mine damnit, if I want to see the shiny valves, then I want to see shiny valves!

As well as being able to play most common format, and all those features players already do
