MAN! Thats a good looking speaker. - Page 3

I've always loved the look of the Rockport's. Yes, they are large and maybe not destined for everyone's personal tastes, but I think they are awesome looking.

Wow alot of nice speakers here. Wish there was a place to just check em all out like a CES for speakers. Oh and as for the TAD's @ 60k. Im sure they sound great though. Keep em coming.

Amazing looking as well truly fantastic sounding... I hope in the future they expand their lineup to include more finishes then the Piano Black, Cherry, or Birdseye...

I love Rosewood S4's I have now...

In the context of this thread, I was speaking only of their appearance which does not appeal to me.

I do love the looks of Monitor Audio towers... The PL300 is probably the only (seriously intended) speaker in this thread that I can reasonably hope to own at some point....

I have a question about all of this. I always see people's speakers in these pics, with the grills off. Do alot of people run them without the grills on? I would just die if one of my kids stuck a finger through a driver.

Yeah the Gamut's are fantastic looking as well...

But I was reading that the SQ wasn't as good as the looks, but in the end, I need to listen to them myself.. And at those prices, I doubt that will happen. No Retailer for them anywhere near me...

Jay,

I keep my grills on all the time unless the family leaves the house. As you write kids (I have a 3 year old daughter) love to touch and probe. Drivers and tweeters are very attractive to a young person. Hell, there are times I even want to touch them, but don't for obvious reasons.

How about their little brothers?

Many of these are nice, but most are too busy or to odd looking. Bukhumyai nailed it though, those are the best hands down - Classic and classy.

Not to everyone's taste I know, but the cabinet work is outstanding. The feet always put me in mind of Terry Pratchett's Luggage. You sort of expect it to scuttle off across the room in search of the best position.
