Does Viewing Distance Make A Difference With 720p?

I'm using the Samsung LN330 series 32" LCD with the Samsung BD-P1400 Blu-Ray Player via HDMI (720p/1080i).

I sit about 12-20 feet away from the TV. Far, I know, but it's sometimes the only place I can sit. I'm running my Blu-Ray player in 1080i, since my TV is a 720p/1080i TV. Am I missing details by sitting this far away? Should I switch my resolution to 720p?

you are losing lots of detail.....take out a 2nd mortgage and get a new TV

3-6 feet is ideal. Someone even posted a resolution chart.

The resolution chart should be displayed as a forum banner.

(Yes, viewing distance does matter. Follow the green line on the chart.)
