Hello,
I am converting a relatively small room (11' x 17') into a theater room and am looking at a fixed wall 16:9 screen that should be about 102" to 106" diagonally. The room has been painted with dark red color and there is no ambient light in the room. The seating will be about 12' to 14' from the screen. The projector I am looking at is Epson 1080UB.
The contractor who would install the screen is recommending Draper Onyx M2500 screen with vel-tex for a whopping price of $1400. I did some research on the net. It appears a key point about this screen is that it is easy to install. For me, it does not matter if the screen is easy to install as the contractor is charging me separately for the install and speaker wiring.
Questions:
1. Any recommendation on a good screen that is not as expensive?
2. HT Depot is selling Focupix 105" for $299. Why is there such a huge price difference between the two screens?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Regards,
Vrushali
