Ok guys, I dont post alot but am here once and a while and have had my 6020 for about 3 months now. My settings are alot different than almost everyone here. I have it in movie mode and most have sharpness at -15, whereas I have it the other way because I for one like a REALLy sharp picture and want it to look as crisp and 3D as possible. Now while the picture looks good on some movies like darknight and such, overall I truely find the picture lacking. Dont get me wrong, the blacks are great and picture is good, but still, I find my picture is only about 80% as good as I thought it would be. Dont shoot me, because I know I have a superior tv to sony or samsung, but both have a certain tech that makes the picture look almost 3D and very sharp. Mind you this feature looks good for about 4 seconds and then looks unnatural and irratating, but its sharp and almost projects a 3D image.
Before I bought the pioneer, this is one of the reasons I bought it, is that just everyone said it had the best picture and was like looking through a window. I dont find that at all and after the 6K spent, I feel a little let down.
Now, I would love to have D-Nice calibrate my TV, but alas I live up in canada around Toronto. Future shop says they now are equiped and trained to calibrate the 6020's, but this is my question.
Will it really make it look that much better, and would you trust them to do a good calibration. Is it worth the $300. I know I could get that controlcal product, but I am not good with computers and settings and have NO IDEA what have the info even means. So could someone please help me out and give me some sound advice.
