I recall some posting a while back about getting a "Please wait" message on their kuros. I've had my 5020 for about 6 weeks now and have started seeing this intermittently the past couple weeks. I have TWC in Manhattan and upgraded to HD the day I got the pio, getting an SA4250HDC. When I first saw the message I had just switched from hdmi to component (direct, no avr) and switching back to hdmi seemed to fix the problem but it quickly reappeared. And when it happens it typically re-occurrs frequently, lasting several to many seconds.
Finally, I tried rebooting the cable box and this has so far fixed the problem for the remainder of the evening. Prior to getting the pio I had been watching tv on my Lenovo laptop with a Hauppauge usb tuner and digital SD service. The tv app would intermittently freeze and I had to restart it, attributing the problem to Hauppauge, windows or my laptop. It now occurrs to me that it could've been the same or similar problem I am having now. The problem seems to emanate on cable side but I wouldn't say it's conclusively a cable issue or at least not necessarily exclusively.
The problem happens every few days and rebooting takes a few minutes, 5-10, which can be hugely disruptive. Once or twice, instead of the wait message, I just get audio drops. Rebooting fixes this too.
Is anyone else dealing with this, are there other solutions or is this just the current state of HD. Perhaps I should try exchanging the cable box.
