looking for lcd in the 19" to 22" range, better value with a PC monitor?

I'm looking for a small, widescreen LCD monitor. Either 19" or 22". I think 24" would be too big for what I need. When it comes to 19" and 22" lcd's, it appears there are two options. I can go with a traditional HDTV type monitor, that would likely have component, maybe HDMI, VGA, some built in speakers, or get a computer type display that most likely doesn't have component, etc, etc.

My primary concern is a balance between picture quality and price. I don't want to spend much $$$ at all, but then again, I don't want totally crap picture quality. I guess I'm kinda asking for the impossible. With the devices that I'm going to be hooking up to it, I could live with just having VGA and DVI that is HDCP compatible. I can always get a HDMI to DVI adapter. I don't absolutely need component, although that would be a nice bonus. I also don't necessarily need any built in speakers, cause they are usually crap anyways. I would primarily be using the montior for my PC monitor, as well as another monitor for my Xbox 360. Might occasionally hook a PS3 up to it. During football season, I would be hooking up a Direct TV HDTV box to it.

I might have the opportunity to get a Westinghouse LCM-22W2 for a really good deal. Basically in trade for some stuff I need to get rid of anyways. Or, I could get an Insignia 19" lcd monitor, model # is NS-LTDVD19-09 . I'm not sure if either of these monitors are worth a damn, but I could get them for a pretty good deal. I also have $100 credit to use at Amazon.com, but I can only use it on a monitor that Amazon carries, not one thru one of the third party stores that sell thru Amazon.

Any suggestions?

You should understand that a Monitor is not going to have any tuners built in so I hope you have a damn good video card on the PC.

I'm a Purchasing and IT Manager for a sizeable network and I recently auditioned a new LCD Monitor and then purchased 72 LCD's to replace 5 yr old ones and everyone raves about it. Keep in mind we are not using these for TV though as I have LCD TV's in the class/conference rooms.

The LCD Monitors I bought were Samsung SyncMaster 953BW 19" Widescreen LCD Monitor. I believe it comes in different sizes but it's 8,000:1 CR and 2ms response and you'd swear your looking at a Samsung LCD TV not a PC Monitor.

BTW the glass is not reflective at all (which is why I did the audition as I hate overhead lights mirroring back at you) but does have piano black bezel - it's a beauty and I added three of them to my Ergotron Stand at the Office so I can view and manage my network across three of these at the same time and multi-task as it blew away the Planars I had there before. It's not a TV so make sure your PC has what you need to use in it as such but as a monitor it's terrific for what I consider so little money.

I have an old RCA DTC-100 unit that I could use with it. It's a Direct TV HDTV tuner box with vga output. I've used it on my different computer lcd monitors and it normally looks fine. I also have a VOOM hdtv tuner (yes, I know they went out of business, but the OTA tuner still works fine), and it has DVI output, so as long as the monitor is HDCP compatible, I'm all good.

The 8,000:1 CR is it's "dynamic" cr, not the typical real world cr. Probably more like 1,000:1, which is still really good all things considered.
