I have OTA, HD DVD, SD DVD and a VCR, all set up individually.
Sorry to hear you guys are having problems and hope you can get them worked out.
Do you have a link to this - "80/850"?
Prior to purchase I cut, pasted and printed the FAQ settings and had them in hand the second that I fired up my set and grabbed them the other night and tried them before I came here. I did not get the same picture this time as I did in the beginning. The Movie settings are too yellow for me. I spend the day in front of 3 large calibrated monitors, the A650 is my fourth [the desktop of the Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead (convertible) is not looking as good as it has], and have spent my life with color calibration for proper print output. That means lots of pure white and good variation in color and depth. That is why I fell in love with this set. Out of the box at low settings, it was bright, defined, and gorgeous. I have constantly remarked that my original picture would bring a tear to the eye. That is how I have been able to tell that something is wrong. I'm crying for a different reason now. I'm going to call Samsung, as per their request, next week after I get more responses from here and play some more to have a bunch of info.
At the moment I have a half way decent picture, but with scarifies and not like before.
Two weeks ago when I went to the Samsung site to look at the BD-P3600 and the 7 Series, the 80/850 area was accessible by a link in the header after: Series 5, Series 6, Series 7, 80. I clicked on the 80 to see what it was and got a blurb on an upcoming line of DLP products. I was thinking that just maybe they were going laser. In typical Samsung fashion, is was all color and no info. Just now I went to get you the link and could barely navigate the site, it was severely slow and they kept throwing a survey in my face every other click. As soon as I can get in and grab it, I will.
More as I get it, and I look forward to more input.
Thanks . . .
