Let me clarify some things. I sit about 8-9 feet away from the 67" screen (around the THX recommended seating distance). This might be too close for some of you.
WHEN I get behind my couch to about 10-12 feet, the screen does NOT have that vignetting issue (found this out recently). It throws a pretty much PERFECT image. If I didn't care about that size to distance ratio, I would be 1000% happy with this set from 10-12 feet.
My problem with this is that it's too far for me. I mean, I wanna be blown away by the size and theater-like size. 8 feet is that distance. That distance starts to cause very slight uneven light uniformity.
I will make it clear: if you are planning on purchasing this set and have it sit 10-12 feet from your seating area, DO NOT HESITATE. The PQ is AMAZING. Hell, even at 8 feet it's amazing, just a few issues that I can live with for the awe factor. From 8 feet, I would assume the 61" will have a nearly perfect image with no problematic light uniformity issues.

I found that to be the best spot as well, but even so it's more of the upper area in all, not just the corners. No matter what I do, I will get slight 'vignetting' in nearly 1/4 of the screen, which in my position is the top. I can angle it down some more, but then the bottom half will have this issue.
The vignetting really only irks me in flesh tones, as everything else doesn't look significantly different.
