So I am pretty much a noob to HDTV. I understand the basics, but have a little more trouble understanding the difference between 8-bit and 10bit processors, TBE with the different AMP or Motionflow, etc.
Here is what I am looking for in a tv. It needs to be 40" because my wife is making me get one that fits in our existing cabinet. We watch a lot of tv shows, some movies, but not near as much. Our source will be comcast cable from the wall. We'll get the HD package after getting a tv, but I am sure we will watch some shows in SD so a tv that looks decent for SD is a must. I also play a lot of Xbox360 fast paced games i.e. Call of Duty. We don't have Blu-ray now, but hope to someday though likely not for a year or two or three. (Gotta love being a student). We TiVo a lot and wil likely get the HD tivo. I am looking at spending anywhere from 1200-1500. I have been looking a bit at the samsung 4071 or A550 or one of the bravias but i can't tell the difference between the models which is newer and have less issues etc. Any advice you can give me on picking out a good tv would be appreciated.
Thanks.
