Thanks for this great information! I've successfully burned the sample AVCHD and it IS playable on my 1500, but when I attempt to mux a saved .mpg (converted .ts of my own, using VideoRedo Plus as instructed) using TSMuxer GUI, I get an Errors Message (after the Mux)) Unsupported Media Type 4 for Blu-Ray Muxing.

I continue, using Nero Burning ROM to burn the BDMV & CERTIFICATE files (step 4 & 5) without any problem, but when I attempt to play the disc in my Samsung 1500, it goes into Stop Mode after loading.

What am I doing wrong?

Maybe you should ask in that thread. This one is for the Walmart gift card.

Hey guys. Walmart online had been out of stock on the PS3, but they became available again yesterday afternoon. I ordered online yesterday and got the 100 gift card last night.

I see that they are back in stock, but I don't see the gift card attached to it anymore. When I add it to the cart, it's not adding the gift card.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I ordered the bundle that comes with one game. I see the the standalone PS3 does not add the gift card.

I'am with you sbouldin. I don't see a gift card added. I called over five Wal-Marts in my area and all of them said the $100 GC offer was over.
jcraigcx,I don't see a bundle being offered on Wal-Mart.com?

This is what I ordered. Shows online gift card included. I've already credited the card to my walmart online account, so I know it worked:

It is resolved for new receivers, and if you have your firmware updated on your receiver if it has the issue.

Well on fathersday I got up early and took my maganavox back to walmart that I bought 3 weeks before.I told them I am returning and wanted a new one.No questions asked,So I got the $100 gift card.Bad news is that they had 14 maganavox players and 3 panasonics and 3 sonys that week.My guy in electronics said they sold 1 manavox the whole week.Looks bad for BD.BOB

Does the gift card have an expiration date?
Wonder if they will drop this again!

Really kicking myself for missing out on this, i'm looking for a blu ray player under $200 and cannot find one anywhere (even resorting to ebay).

Not that I can see, though the print is SO small it was hard to read it. Good thing about it is you can also use it on Wal-Mart's web site, as well as at Sam's Club.

Of note, I chcked back with our local Wal-Mart a couple of days ago, just to see if they'd gotten the 1500 back in stock again and if the price was still $388 or $348. BUT they're still out of stock, so guess it's a moot point....

I'm a Walmart Manager...

Technically, no, it doesn't have a exp. date. BUT....after time, we do charge "maintenance fees." for a VISA gift card..

BUT, a regular gift card has no exp. date or fees ever.....

No worries though, if you use it this year, your good to go.

Any similar deals coming up like this in the near future? I wrote an email to Walmart customer support complaining about the online site saying out of stock and then the offer was pulled a couple days after. I had no idea it was an in store promotion as well. Just curious as to whether you knew of anything coming.

first, as you can see, I edited my post for accuracy. I was absolutely wrong in my initial response for a regular gift card.

Anywhoo......to answer you question...I can't. Being a store manager, a deal like this only gets a few days to a week notice. I was shocked when I got the info. Unfortunately, because I was at another store on another project, I didn't get to take up on the offer. (the store I am at currently doesn't sell any blu ray players except for PS3's; which I do not want any part of.)

If I get any info on a future deal, I will let the forum know when I am allowed to.
