I am not interested in the 50" size. Just those with a 42". I want to know how you like it and how do you find it playing at a lower resolution as oppose to a 50" plasma?

I ask this because I find myself playing on my 50"pio more than my 42pio do to the better resolution. Or are there any ppl here playing on a 42"inc plasma that is 720p. How do you like you resolution. I am startint to think 42" at 720p on a plasma is no good for gaming since supposely it is not true HD at 1024x768p.

Well I don't own either of those sets but even though my 32" 1080i HDCRT (which I'm getting ready to dump) looks better than my 60" LCD, I almost always opt to game on the bigger set. I'm also probably going to get a 65" plasma to replace the 60" place in the living room. The bigger sizes just make it easier to game.

I'm the opposite. I think its way easier to game on a smaller screen sitting closer. On my old 52", I'd be lucky to get 200 points in GoW, or 100 in COD4. You just can't focus properly, and it's too far back, regardless of screen size and detail is lost quite abit.

On my monitor I can easily get atleast 18-20 kills in gears and 250-300 in COD4 Team Deathmatch.

That is what I am saying. I find the 42" to be perfect for gaming. However, I think the resolution sucks. I keep thinking I am missing out on some of the game on a 1024x768 display.

I was gaming on my Pioneer Pro940HD Elite - a year earlier elite version of the 4280.

I recently got a Panasonic 50" plasma that I use now. Both are 720p and I like gaming on either one - although I prefer the 50" Panasonic simply because it's bigger. I don't find any issues with resolution or anything on my Pio Elite though - it's just a smaller screen.

That maybe it . Maybe I have to get use to the size of the 42". I think I tricked myself into believeing I am not seeing the same thing that I see on my 50".
