Any plans to review Disney's World Of Wonder (Calibration disc)? I'm sure a LOT of us would be very interested!

Aren't we missing Seven(Se7ven) here. I am big fan of this movie. Watched it recently on BD..its awesome on BD. It certainly take place in "Audio&Video" or may be in my "Personal Favorites & Guilty Pleasures" section.
I am looking forward to read Ralph's review on this.

Thanks
Satya.

Are there any plans to release "Me And Orson Welles" on Bluray/ or DVD? (I understand Target stores are offering this title (DVD) on a limited basis.)

Haven't heard any BD news on this one yet.

I couldn't agree with you more on the Speed Racer for video. I honestly think it's the best looking Blu Ray I own or even out there on the market. If not the best, it's definitely in the discussion.

Hi Ralph, I'd be surprised if this wasn't already asked, but I couldn't find it. Are you planning on reviewing TTRL soon? Its proposed spot is top of tier 0, would like to hear what you think!

Thanks

Am I just not seeing it or has there not been a review of The Expendables on Blu-ray as of yet? Very eager to hear some further detail about that particular movie. Rumor is that the Blu-ray soundtrack was phenomenal.

Greetings,

It never arrived from Lionsgate. They advised that it was enroute on November 18th and it never showed. I have contacted them three times and have been told it's "coming". I have decided not to hold my breath.

My apologies..

Regards,

That simply astounds me.
This thread is averaging about 150 hits a day (since its inception) and made up of primarily people 'ready to buy'.
What sort of marketing guru would jerk the reviewer around over 1 disc?

Regards,

Well, that's unfortunate. I have been looking forward to your review of this particular film. However, no big deal. Thanks for your reply.

Oh, will there be a review on Twilight Saga: Eclipse coming soon?

Ralph

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but are your thumbnail lists tiered?
i.e. do you have a rating within each audio/video/favourites category?

Thanks for this wonderful thread and your constsnt updating.
Cheers

Greetings,

I have not tiered them and proably won't. Alot of work has gone into the Tier rating audio/video threads here on AVS over the in the Blu-ray software forum for those who would like a more specific breakdown.

My list is simply discs that I have found worthy of consideration for those looking for good quality Blu-ray Discs to check out or add to their collections.

Thanks!

I was only curious because some lines have several DVDs on them, while some lines may only have one.

Regards,
Just checking in again regarding this particular movie. I hope to eventually here your take on the movie.

Especially, regarding the soundtrack. I felt like the dialogue was a bid muddy on The Expendables Blu-ray. I felt it got buried in the mix at times. And although there was some great LFE at times, this was not as hot of a soundtrack as I was expecting. My Onkyo AVR protection circuitry will shut it down if I try to play FOTP, Last Air Bender, or Percy Jackson at or above reference levels, but this movie barely got the AVR temps over 130 degrees. Didn't stress it out at all.

Greetings,

I will pick it up at some point although I am not sure about a full review. I will post impressions and if time permits something more. Right now I am swamped and will be busy over the next few weeks.

Black hawk down is a very superb blu ray movie. War movies just belong in blu ray. This paticular movie/mini series is not mentioned much, band of brothers. This has EVERYTHING. Video/Audio/Story. Its in my opinion one of the best or the best blu rays on the market. Its a bit on the pricey side because its about 80 bucks but look for it on sale i bought it one sale for 40 bucks. This is just one the best blu rays out there, and the best mini serie ever.

Only six times? You have a long way to go, my friend!

I just bought Close Encounters of the Third Kind 30th Anniversary Ultimate Edition. One of my all time favorite movies.

There is one thing about this release that I absolutely love: when you put in the disc, you go right to the main menu in a matter of seconds. No trailers, no warnings, no BS. Thank GOD!! I am so sick of the crap I have to wade through in order to get to watch the movie I paid for. And it seems most companies will not let you press "menu" or even "skip" this crap. You have to fast forward through each preview. And since I rarely get through a movie in one sitting, the next evening I have to go through it all again! I can't go straight to where I left off in the movie (using an Oppo 93).

Anyway, I have to commend Sony for this release (although I just watched Lebanon, also a Sony release, and I had to wade through all the crap I just talked about above). I just don't get it.

How does BoB compare with The Pacific? Is the latter as good as BoB?
